Be a Mentor - It Changes Lives

I was lucky enough to speak at one of the largest elementary school mentor programs in Delaware at John Clayton Elementary.  The mentor program is a success due to the efforts of the staff, especially Bonnie Crowther, and the selfless giving volunteers.  Here is what I learned.

There are never enough Mentors in our schools.

There are not enough men serving as Mentors in elementary schools.

The kids absolutely fall in love with their Mentors and vice versa.

The kids who are mentored make incredible strides academically and personally.

A relatively small amount of time and effort will changes the lives of the kids and the Mentors.

Kudos to all those wonderful leaders who are sharing their time, experience, and love with the next generation of leaders.

If you want to make a big difference in the community, find a way to become a Mentor.
