Alignment takes time.

It always takes more time to align a team than to dictate directions.  But good leaders understand the benefits of creating opportunities for group thinking, creativity, team work, interdependence, freedom of expression and giving people the dignity of a voice in the process.  It will take more time to align your team but the results - on many levels - will justify the effort.
