Players Only Meeting

I am a Washington Sports fan.  Consequently, I have been rooting for under performing organizations for decades.  The Redskins, Wizards, and to a lesser extent the Capitals have all struggled to create a consistent culture of success.  It's frustrating as a fan; it's frustrating as a student of leadership.

The Washington professional basketball franchise, the Wizards, have started this season with seven consecutive losses without a win.  The team retreated to a "players only" meeting this week to sort out their issues.  What's interesting to me about the Washington Post article below is: who led the meeting, what was said, and will the meeting produce better results on the court.  But we all should note - that when a team is not successful - someone must have the courage to take a stand for success, accountability, and resourcefulness.
